MS-13 Migrants Who Terrorized Nassau County Face 14 Counts of Attempted Murder in ICE Bust
Three MS-13 Members Charged with Violent Crimes After Nassau County Arrests
Law enforcement authorities have apprehended three suspected MS-13 gang members involved in a series of violent offenses in Nassau County. These individuals face multiple serious charges, including attempted murder, assault, and weapons possession, following a coordinated operation involving ICE, local police, and the FBI.
Two of the individuals allegedly entered the United States illegally during the Biden administration. Nassau County officials praised the operation, emphasizing their commitment to work with federal agencies to remove dangerous illegal immigrants from the community. Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman confirmed the arrests and stated that cooperation with ICE has made the area safer.
Immigration detainers have been lodged against all three migrants. The suspects, none older than 21, are accused of various violent crimes, including attempted murder and assault with weapons. Their criminal histories depict a pattern of violence, with one, Elias Wilfredo Serrano Bonilla, 21, from El Salvador, being charged with multiple attempted murder counts and assaults. Another, Edras Daniel Velasquez Giron, 19, also from Honduras, previously faced charges for assault and gang violence and was ordered deported in 2023 but remained at large until this recent bust. The third, Jeffrey Bladimir Valladares Archaga, 20, entered the U.S. illegally and was arrested for firearm possession and unlicensed driving but is not linked to attempted murder charges.
Officials reaffirm their stance that America will no longer serve as a haven for foreign criminals. ICE acting Director Todd Lyons highlighted the agency’s ongoing efforts to identify and deport gangs such as MS-13, promising to continue removing individuals who threaten public safety.
Since February, local authorities have detained more than 1,400 illegal immigrants in partnership with ICE, including setting aside dedicated cells for deportation cases. These joint efforts have successfully removed over 1,600 criminal migrants from the region, contributing to increased community safety.
