Emmy-Winner Hank Winchester Raided in Sexually Harassment Probe—You Won’t Believe the Allegations!
Home of Detroit Journalist Under Investigation After Search Warrant Executed
The residence of Hank Winchester, an Emmy-winning reporter from Detroit’s NBC affiliate, was recently searched by authorities amid an investigation into allegations of inappropriate sexual behavior. The case stems from accusations that Winchester made unwanted sexual advances toward a man during a massage.
Winchester, known for hosting the podcast HelpMeHank, is married to Oakland County Circuit Judge Jacob Cunningham, with whom he shares a young daughter. His home was raided by Beverly Hills Police and the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office following reports related to the allegations.
Reportedly, Winchester had been studying massage therapy recently, though it remains unclear whether he was acting as the masseuse or the one receiving the massage during the incident.
He has a longstanding relationship with the Stafford family, with former Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford and wife Kelly appearing as guests on Winchester’s podcast. Winchester has also expressed close ties to the Staffords, describing their friendship in heartfelt messages upon their move to Los Angeles.
In response to the investigation, Winchester has been placed on administrative leave by his station, WDIV Local 4. His attorney, Todd Flood, expressed confidence that the allegations are unfounded, stating, “This investigation will end where it began — with no charges.” Despite this, no charges have yet been filed, and the inquiry remains active.
This incident coincides with other recent cases involving media figures facing similar allegations. For example, a Virginia weatherman was recently arrested for extortion related to a sex tape, and a Louisiana TV anchor resigned after being caught sexting someone he believed to be a minor, but who was part of a vigilante group.
