Why Alexander Isak Left His £7,000 Luxury Home Amid Liverpool Transfer Rumors
Revealed: The True Reason Why Alexander Isak Has Left His Luxury Newcastle Home as He Seeks a Move to Liverpool
Alexander Isak, the Swedish forward at Newcastle, has recently vacated his high-end £7,000-a-month residence in Darras Hall, Northumberland. Importantly, sources indicate this move is unrelated to his desire to transfer to Liverpool.
Isak had been renting the four-bedroom property since his £63 million transfer from Real Sociedad in 2022. The home features an open-plan kitchen, living area, and entertainment room. He was set to renew his lease this summer, but it was put on the market last month amid his push to leave Newcastle.
Neighbours reveal that Isak had been planning to move after experiencing multiple burglaries, including a major incident in April 2024. During that break-in, thieves stole his sports car, jewelry worth approximately £68,000, and up to £10,000 in cash. The attack left him with a “sense of unease,” as detailed in his victim impact statement, which described significant force used during the raid, including theft of a large safe and the use of his car as a battering ram.
The court heard that a gang responsible for the crimes was jailed in May. Following these burglaries, Newcastle security measures were stepped up with monitored alarm systems and patrols.
Isak’s future has been a topic of intense speculation, with reports indicating he has expressed a strong interest in joining Liverpool to the club and his manager, Eddie Howe. Nonetheless, he has not trained with Newcastle’s squad and will miss the upcoming Premier League game against Aston Villa. A transfer is only likely if Newcastle secures a replacement striker and reconsiders their offer, after an initial £110 million bid was rejected earlier this month.
While Howe hopes Isak might change his mind and stay, the current situation suggests the player is eager to move, driven by personal safety concerns and a desire for a new challenge.
