Jennifer Aniston Opens Up on Brad Pitt’s Vulnerable Divorce

Jennifer Aniston Shares PTSD from Media Frenzy Surrounding High-Profile Divorce

Jennifer Aniston has revealed she still experiences some PTSD from the intense media coverage of her highly scrutinized divorce from Brad Pitt.

Reflecting on her 2005 Vanity Fair interview, conducted shortly after Pitt left her for Angelina Jolie, Aniston described the experience as jarring and vulnerable. She noted that back then, journalism felt more like a competitive sport, which contributed to her discomfort. She confessed that interviews now tend to scare her due to lingering trauma from those times.

During that period, she endured the media’s fixation on her relationship with Pitt, Jolie, and the so-called “love triangle.” She described her survival tactic as “just pick yourself up by the bootstraps and keep on walking,” though she admitted to taking the onslaught personally.

Aniston recalled how she couldn’t ignore the relentless speculation about her relationship at the time, acknowledging the human side behind the celebrity persona. She emphasized that she and Pitt, who was also her first love, remained kindly connected despite their separation, which occurred after they met on a blind date in 1998 and married in 2000.

Pitt later married Angelina Jolie in 2014, with whom he raised six children before their tumultuous breakup in 2016. Aniston moved on with Justin Theroux, marrying in 2015 before their amicable split three years later.

Despite her past heartbreak, Aniston and Pitt have continued to maintain a friendly rapport, with Pitt showing public support for her current relationship with Jim Curtis and even attending her birthday party in 2019. They have also reunited at events like the 2020 Screen Actors Guild Awards, suggesting a mature and friendly post-divorce bond.

Recent reports suggest Pitt remains pleased to see Aniston happy with her new partner, expressing that he wishes her well—highlighting the enduring warmth between the two.
