Kathy Griffin Confirms Third Facelift After ‘Very Taut’ Look
Kathy Griffin Confirms Third Facelift and Opens Up About Recovery
Comedian Kathy Griffin has revealed she underwent her third facelift, sharing details about the procedure and her recovery process. She addressed a recent headline that described her face as “VERY taut,” jokingly acknowledging the results on her latest appearance.
During her appearance on the “Talk Your Head Off” podcast, Griffin confirmed, “This is my third, yes.” She named her surgeon, Dr. Ben Talei of Beverly Hills, who also performed a facelift for singer Sia. Griffin added that she had also received work on her eyelids and chin.
Griffin candidly described the discomfort of the surgery, stating, “Got the facelift, I’m going to be honest, it’s painful. So these bitches that say, ‘It’s like getting a tooth filled! It’s nothing!’—no, it’s painful.” She joked about her recent photos, noting that she’s only photographed by paparazzi because she’s still alive, especially when she’s working out without makeup and natural hair.
“Very taut is also very true!” she quipped about her appearance.
Despite the pain, Griffin expressed satisfaction with her results. She shared that her recovery was challenging but appreciated her surgeon’s work, mentioning that her makeup-free workouts in Malibu often attract paparazzi attention.
She also reflected on her past plastic surgeries, including a nose job at age 26. Griffin recounted being told her nose was a barrier to more work, which led her to opt for surgery. She revealed struggles with body image and nearly dying from liposuction complications, feeling pressured to look impeccable on television.
