Former Premier League Player Facing Psychological Violence Charges

Dimitri Payet, a former Premier League footballer, has been formally charged with psychological abuse against his former mistress, Brazilian lawyer Larissa Natalya Ferrari. Although prosecutors initially dismissed the case, an appeal has led to an indictment against the 38-year-old.

Ferrari accused Payet of coercive and humiliating acts during their seven-month relationship, which included drinking urine and licking the floor, claims she publicly shared to seek justice. She described instances where Payet pushed her, stepped on her, and requested her to perform bizarre sexual acts, including drinking her own urine, which she recorded on video. Ferrari also alleged that they used wooden chairs during intimacy, resulting in marks on her body due to her lighter skin tone.

Payet, who recently parted ways with Vasco da Gama, admitted to having a relationship with Ferrari but claimed all acts were consensual and initiated by her. During police questioning, he acknowledged the relationship but denied any violence. Ferrari has publicly stated that she was manipulated and humiliated, asserting her actions were driven by her psychological vulnerabilities.

He reportedly refused Ferrari’s request to continue their relationship in France, demanding repayment of expenses. Ferrari threatened to expose his secrets if he did not respond quickly, which escalated tensions. She emphasized the emotional and psychological toll of the ordeal, asserting her statements are genuine despite the serious nature of her allegations.

Controversy and Legal Proceedings

Payet’s lawyer, Sheila Lustoza, defended her client, claiming that leaked records reveal Ferrari exercised her free will and that the evidence will support her innocence. The case has garnered significant attention, as Payet is regarded as one of the top talents of his generation, though his career in Europe was marred by controversy.

Ferrari, a mother of two, highlighted that her involvement with Payet was not motivated by money, emphasizing her personal circumstances, including her recent divorce. Her detailed disclosures aim to shed light on the abuse she alleges to have suffered.
