Blake Lively Slams Perez Hilton Over 500 Disparaging Stories About Justin Baldoni
Blake Lively Sues Perez Hilton Over Defamation Campaign
Blake Lively has filed a lawsuit against widely known blogger Perez Hilton, accusing him of damaging her reputation over the past year. According to her attorney, Esra Hudson, Hilton has posted over 500 videos, 400 headlines, and numerous comments targeting her since August 2024. His website features dedicated sections and multiple posts aimed at disparaging her character, often without seeking comment or response from her representatives.

In her legal motion, Lively’s team highlights that Hilton’s content includes labels such as “bully” and “savage.” These accusations have been linked to her ongoing dispute with her co-star Justin Baldoni. The actress claims Hilton’s posts are part of a coordinated effort with others to tarnish her image, especially amid her feud with Baldoni over allegations of sexual harassment and retaliation related to his film “It Ends With Us.”
Hilton responds via YouTube, asserting that if Lively seeks to enforce a subpoena against him, it should be handled in his jurisdiction of Las Vegas, which he claims is the proper venue. Hilton also criticized her legal team, calling the lawsuit a “circus” and mocking her lawyer’s efforts.
The dispute is intensified by a separate protective order filed by another content creator, Lauren Neidigh, who claims Lively’s attempts to subpoena social media figures aim to intimidate and chill free speech. Lively continues to investigate motives behind the bloggers’ actions, asserting they conspired with Baldoni to retaliate against her.
Both Hilton and Owens have denied allegations of collusion, emphasizing that their public statements reflect their own views, not illegal conspiracies. Their case is scheduled for trial in March 2026, after Lively’s deposition last week in New York City.
In addition to her defamation claims, Lively is pursuing legal action against Baldoni for sexual harassment and retaliation, with Baldoni denying all wrongdoing. The legal battles underscore the actress’s fight to clear her name and address what she calls a malicious smear campaign.
