Fairfax County Staff Accused of Arranging Student Abortions
Investigation Launched Over Alleged Secret Abortions at Fairfax County School
The Fairfax County Public Schools system in Virginia is conducting a probe into claims that school staff facilitated abortions for students without informing their parents. According to reports, staff at Centreville High School in Union Hill allegedly organized and financed abortions for minors in 2021, including a 17-year-old girl.
The school district responded by stating, “We learned yesterday of these concerning allegations from 2021,” and emphasized their commitment to student welfare. They clarified that they are initiating an immediate and thorough investigation into the matter. When asked if staff had ever arranged abortions for students, the district indicated they were unaware of any such incidents but are actively looking into the allegations.
While the district’s policies encourage students who suspect pregnancy to discuss concerns with their guardians, they do not specify that employees must notify parents about such conversations. This policy has come under scrutiny following the allegations.
Reactions from pro-life organizations have been critical, condemning the secrecy surrounding the alleged procedures. 40 Days for Life described the actions as “state-funded child exploitation” and called for accountability.
