Food Network Star Anne Burrell Passes Away at 55

Anne Burrell, a renowned personality on the Food Network, was discovered unconscious alongside numerous pills at her home in New York yesterday. Her husband, Stuart Claxton, found her and called emergency services.

Law enforcement arrived early Tuesday morning and confirmed her death at the scene. Claxton, who married Burrell in 2021, had last seen her alive around 1 a.m. that morning. Authorities reported that she was already unresponsive when they arrived and was pronounced dead shortly after.

She was found on the shower floor, with reports indicating a large quantity of pills nearby, though it remains unclear if these contributed to her passing. A 911 caller had initially reported that Burrell had gone into cardiac arrest.
