Blake Lively’s lawyers respond to showdown with Justin Baldoni at deposition

Blake Lively’s Legal Team Accuses Justin Baldoni of Leaking Deposition Details

Blake Lively’s attorneys have filed a motion claiming that Justin Baldoni and his legal team leaked confidential information from her July 31 deposition, intentionally creating a misleading narrative. Court documents reveal that the lawyers assert Baldoni’s team shared details with tabloids to stir media interest and portray the deposition as a direct confrontation, which they argue is false.

The lawyers contend that Baldoni’s side attempted to stage the deposition as a “face-to-face showdown,” aiming to generate a media frenzy. They argued that these disclosures led to inaccurate stories suggesting Lively had a large entourage, while in reality, she testified alongside several colleagues and multiple attorneys present during the session.

In response to previous reports, including coverage by TMZ and Daily Mail, which claimed Baldoni attended the deposition with other witnesses and that Lively arrived with her sister, spouse Ryan Reynolds, and a team of lawyers, her legal team clarified that the deposition was professionally conducted with all witnesses present in person.

The attorneys further accused Baldoni’s legal representative of attempting to turn the deposition into a spectacle, even suggesting the possibility of televised tickets, efforts they say are inappropriate for a case involving serious allegations of sexual harassment and retaliation. Lively is currently suing Baldoni over these claims, accusing him of sexual misconduct during the filming of their movie, It Ends With Us.

Baldoni denies the allegations and has countersued for defamation and extortion. While he previously filed a $400 million lawsuit against Lively and Reynolds, a judge dismissed the case in June, leaving ongoing legal disputes between the parties.
