Jude Bellingham’s Massive Shoulder Scar After Surgery at Real Madrid

Jude Bellingham Reveals Large Shoulder Scar Following Surgery That Will Sideline Him for Months

Jude Bellingham’s recent shoulder surgery has been publicly highlighted after an image of his prominent scar was shared on social media. The 22-year-old midfielder underwent a successful operation in London three weeks ago to address an injury that had persisted since November 2023.

Bellingham suffered the injury during a La Liga match against Rayo Vallecano, where he dislocated his shoulder after an awkward fall. The player initially delayed surgery, opting to play with his shoulder heavily strapped, and previously expressed frustration over playing with a sling.

He is expected to be sidelined until at least mid-October for full recovery. Despite wearing a sling since the procedure, Bellingham shared his first look at the sizable scar, which runs along most of his shoulder, in a recent photo posted on Instagram alongside two friends.

Recovery and Return Timeline

The recovery process is projected to take around three months, potentially extending to four if complications arise. This means Bellingham could be unavailable until late October or early November, meaning he might miss at least the first eight La Liga matches, the initial two Champions League games, and upcoming international breaks in September and October.

The anticipated return match could be against Getafe on October 19, following the international break. During this period, Bellingham will spend a minimum of one month with his shoulder immobilized in a sling to facilitate healing.

Current Form and Performances

Despite the injury setback, Bellingham has demonstrated his quality, featuring in all six of Madrid’s Club World Cup matches this summer, contributing a goal and an assist, and helping the team reach the semi-finals.

In his last season, he scored 14 goals and provided as many assists across all competitions. His impressive domestic performances earned him a spot in La Liga’s Team of the Season for the second consecutive year, and he was voted Player of the Season in his debut La Liga campaign.
