Senator Bernie Sanders Launches the Fighting Oligarchy Tour in Red States
Senator Bernie Sanders is initiating a new series of rallies aimed at challenging the dominance of oligarchs and promoting progressive policies. The “Fighting Oligarchy” tour will focus on red districts in West Virginia and North Carolina this August.
Sanders emphasized that support spans both political spectrums, stating, “Red state, blue state — the people of this country oppose an economy that benefits only the 1%. I will be visiting West Virginia and North Carolina to advocate for good-paying jobs, universal healthcare, and a political system free from billionaire influence.”
The movement appears to be attracting new supporters, with two-thirds of RSVPs for upcoming rallies coming from individuals who are new to Sanders’ activism. Over 270,000 attendees have participated in these events, many of whom do not belong to his usual supporter base, indicating a growing momentum among diverse voters.
