Enhanced Security Measures for President Trump on the Golf Course

Recently, the security team for President Trump unveiled a new heavily armored golf cart, approximately ten months after an attempt on his life at a golf resort in Florida. This weekend, on the course in South Ayrshire, Scotland, a formidable black vehicle—believed to be a heavily fortified modified Polaris Ranger XP—accompanied Trump as he played. Security experts suggest it resembles an armor-enhanced vehicle akin to Trump’s official limousine, “The Beast.”

While Trump used a standard white golf cart, the suspiciously large and armored-looking vehicle was clearly distinct. An industry professional noted that features such as the darkened windscreen with black banding, reinforced side panels, doors, and a sizable rear panel indicate significant armor enhancements. The modifications appear designed primarily for protection rather than offense, with tinted windows likely featuring robust transparent armor.

Experts believe the vehicle is intended to keep Trump safe from potential threats, especially following a pair of assassination attempts in the past year. In September, suspect Ryan Routh aimed a rifle at Trump during a golf outing in Florida but was thwarted and later arrested, charged with attempting to assassinate the president. Earlier, Trump had survived a gunfire attack at a rally in Pennsylvania, when Thomas Crooks opened fire from a rooftop, wounding individuals and killing a bystander before being stopped by a counter-sniper team.

A spokesperson from the Secret Service declined to confirm whether the new cart is armored, citing confidentiality about protective methods. Nevertheless, the addition of this armored vehicle underscores ongoing security concerns for Trump during his outings.
