Nick Hogan Mourns Father’s Passing Amid Overwhelming Grief
Nick Hogan is processing the loss of his father, legendary wrestler Hulk Hogan, who recently died following a heart attack. On Saturday, Nick shared an emotional tribute on Instagram, reflecting on his father’s life and their close relationship.
“Thank you to everyone who has reached out to me and offered support during this difficult time. It truly means a lot. I apologize if I haven’t responded to everyone yet. This has been overwhelming,” he wrote, accompanying a carousel of nostalgic photos with Hulk.
He described Hulk as “the most incredible person I’ve ever known and will always be my hero.” Nick praised his father’s kindness, love, and mentorship, expressing gratitude for the time they shared. Before Hulk’s death, Nick was able to tell him how much he loved him, which he cherishes deeply.
“I will always remember his lessons and advice, and I aim to carry on in a way that would make him proud,” Nick said. “Thank you for being the best dad and my best friend. I love you so much, Big Dog, and I will miss you forever.”
Hulk Hogan died on July 24 at age 71 after suffering a cardiac arrest. Emergency services responded to his Florida home, and he was pronounced dead at Morton Plant Hospital.
Hulk shared Nick and his sister Brooke with ex-wife Linda Hogan. Despite a close bond with Nick, Hulk’s relationship with Brooke was strained. She publicly accused Hulk and Linda of “vicious” abuse, revealing a history of emotional and physical mistreatment.
Hulk Hogan and Linda had an tumultuous marriage from 1983 to 2009, marked by allegations of infidelity and abuse, which Hulk denied. The strained family dynamics persisted, with Brooke choosing to skip his wedding shortly before his passing. She explained her absence as part of her personal healing journey and expressed well wishes to her father beforehand.
Despite family disputes, Nick shared a final heartfelt message, expressing love and gratitude for Hulk and honoring his memory. The family continues to mourn the loss of a wrestling legend whose impact extended beyond the ring into the lives of his loved ones.
