Shocking! Mom-to-Be Mowed Down in NYC—Driver Arrested After Beyoncé Concert Tragedy!
A woman accused of a deadly hit-and-run has been charged with murder after reportedly striking a pregnant woman with her vehicle and fleeing the scene. The incident occurred on May 24 in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, when 28-year-old Chaquasia Pigford allegedly slammed into 32-year-old Tiffany Cifuni after a minor collision.
Prosecutors state Pigford, who was driving a stolen vehicle, initially rear-ended Cifuni’s car during a fender-bender. After Cifuni exited her vehicle, Pigford refused to speak and then lightly pressed the gas pedal, causing her car to briefly touch Tiffany, who then backed away and placed her hands on the hood. As a passerby attempted to photograph Pigford’s license plate, Pigford suddenly accelerated, fatally striking Tiffany and embedding her beneath the vehicle.
Tiffany, who was about 12 weeks pregnant, was returning from a Beyoncé concert at the time. Her husband and family attended her court appearance, where her husband called Pigford a “coward” and a “monster.”
Witnesses say Pigford then made an illegal turn into oncoming traffic on Marcus Garvey Boulevard before driving over a manhole, which dislodged Tiffany’s body. She continued her rampage by colliding with parked cars and striking a woman in a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee. After the wreckage, Pigford fled on foot, abandoning the stolen vehicle with temporary plates.
She was later found in South Carolina and returned to Brooklyn. Her lawyer argued for a reduced bail, citing her community ties, employment as a home health aide, and living with her mother. During her arraignment, Pigford denied responsibility, claiming the vehicle’s owner was at fault.
Her next court date is scheduled for July 30. She faces multiple charges, including second-degree murder, manslaughter, reckless driving, driving without a license, and leaving the scene of a homicide.
