HR Chief Kristin Cabot Resigns Amid Coldplay Kiss Cam Scandal
Chief of HR at Astronomer Resigns Following Publicized Affair
Kristin Cabot, the Chief People Officer at AI and data-focused company Astronomer, has stepped down after reports emerged of an inappropriate relationship with the company’s CEO, Andy Byron.
Her resignation follows an internal investigation launched by the company amid scandalous footage captured at a concert. On July 16, Byron and Cabot were seen on a kiss cam during a Coldplay concert, sharing intimate moments that quickly went viral. The band’s lead singer, Chris Martin, joked about their behavior, sparking widespread attention.
Following the incident, the company stated that Cabot and Byron had been placed on leave while a formal investigation was underway. A spokesperson confirmed, “Kristin Cabot is no longer with Astronomer, she has resigned.”
After the viral video, which showed Byron and Cabot getting close during the concert, additional details about their private lives surfaced. Kristin, who assumed her role in November 2024, is believed to be married to Andrew Cabot. The property records reveal that they co-own a $2.2 million home purchased in February.
Meanwhile, Byron is married to Megan Kerrigan Byron, with whom he shares two children. Once their intimacy was exposed, Megan deleted her social media accounts, and within a day, Byron resigned from his role at Astronomer.
In a statement, the company emphasized its commitment to its core values and announced that Pete DeJoy would serve as interim CEO until a permanent replacement is found. The firm also reassured its clients that their operations would continue smoothly despite the controversy.
