According to a wildlife specialist, it likely took significant effort to tear through the bat’s muscle, tissue, and bone, with Ozzy’s adrenaline-fueled crowd moment making it appear effortless.

In 1982, Ozzy’s bold act on stage became legendary — he bit into a live bat, prompting a rushed hospital visit for rabies shots. However, experts clarify that most bats, including the one involved, are not rabid.
