NYC Woman, 21, Found Tortured in Stairwell; Boyfriend Sought in Her Murder

Woman Found Dead with Multiple Wounds in Bronx Apartment

A young woman was discovered severely injured inside a Bronx apartment stairwell and later died at a hospital. Authorities are now searching for her boyfriend, who is considered a person of interest.

The 21-year-old victim was found with numerous injuries, including stab wounds, punctures, razor marks, large cuts, and signs suggesting she was restrained and possibly assaulted with a hammer. She was located on the staircase of a Fordham Heights building before 3 p.m. and was transported to BronxCare Health System, where she was pronounced dead.

Surveillance footage shows her boyfriend leaving the building around the time she was found. Police are actively seeking him for questioning as he remains at large.

Additionally, authorities have detained a 54-year-old woman believed to be the suspect’s mother. She was initially interviewed as a witness after reportedly discovering the woman’s bloodied body, but investigators noted a trail of blood leading to her apartment, which raised suspicions of possible involvement.

The victim’s belongings included a blood-soaked garbage bag, which she was seen trying to discard before becoming uncooperative with investigators. These actions may lead to charges of evidence tampering.

Detectives are seeking a search warrant for the suspect’s residence as they continue their investigation into the brutal attack.
