Cardi B Sued Over Mic-Throwing Incident Injuring Woman

Cardi B Sued for Assault After Mic Incident During Vegas Performance

Rapper Cardi B is facing a lawsuit accusing her of assault and battery following an altercation at a Las Vegas concert two years ago. The plaintiff, identified as Jane Doe, claims she was hit with a microphone during the incident.

The lawsuit alleges that Cardi B initially requested the audience at Drai’s Beachclub to throw water on her to cool off during her performance. Several attendees responded to her call, but when Doe complied, the rapper reportedly threw a microphone in her direction, striking her.

Doe’s lawsuit further states that the microphone, which was later auctioned for $99,000, added to her emotional distress. Despite the incident, Cardi B was not charged by authorities at the time.

Before the conflict escalated, Cardi B was seen in a video encouraging the crowd to splash water “in [her] p—y,” which she said felt “good,” leading to the water-throwing incident. Following the altercation, security escorted the woman out of the venue.

In a post-incident comment, Cardi B responded, “I don’t want to look [like] that ghetto bitch,” adding, “I said splash my p—y, not my face, bitch.” She has also previously been outspoken about her interactions with fans, including dismissing accusations of copying Nicki Minaj’s style and telling fans to “shut the f–k up” regarding her personal life.

Her personal life has seen significant changes recently, with her divorcing rapper Offset in August 2024 and moving on with NFL player Stefon Diggs.
