Father of Victim Dismisses Killer as a “Joke” During Impact Statement

The father of Kaylee Goncalves delivered a scathing attack on Bryan Kohberger during his victim impact statement, describing him as a “joke.”

“You’re a joke, a complete joke,” Steve Goncalves declared, mocking the evidence Kohberger left behind at the site of the brutal quadruple murder at the University of Idaho. He criticized Kohberger’s apparent carelessness, highlighting how police identified his DNA within minutes, along with footage showing his car arriving and departing the crime scene.

He emphasized their certainty from the beginning: “We knew from the very start we had you.” Goncalves also criticized Kohberger for attempting to divide people, asserting that his heinous act instead unified the world in condemnation.

The father declared, “Today we are here to show the world that you picked the wrong families. Our collective outrage has brought everyone together in disgust.” He concluded with a harsh message to Kohberger: “You have no name today. Nobody cares about you.
