Louis Tomlinson Speaks Out Against Viral False Family & Relationship Theories

Louis Tomlinson Stops Using Social Media Due to Conspiracy Rumors About Personal Life

Louis Tomlinson, the former member of One Direction, has decided to step back from online platforms amidst ongoing speculation about his private life. On July 14, he posted a message expressing his frustration with the relentless “conspiracy chat,” which has become overwhelming when it involves his relationships, his son, or even his family.

He shared, “The last few months have made it impossible to be on here. All the conspiracy talk about my relationship, my son, or even my mother—it’s just too much and hurts me to see.”

Rumors have circulated about Tomlinson’s personal life, especially after he appeared with UK reality star Zara McDermott on her Instagram story. The two have been spotted attending events together, including Glastonbury, sparking speculation about a new romance. This is Tomlinson’s first relationship since his breakup with Eleanor Calder in 2022.

He is a father to a nine-year-old son, Freddie Reign, who he keeps largely out of the spotlight along with his mother, Briana Jungwirth.

Tomlinson has also been affected by the tragic losses in his family. His mother, Johannah Deakin, passed away in 2016 after battling leukemia, and he lost his sister Félicite in 2015 to a drug overdose. Recently, he mourned the death of Liam Payne, a fellow bandmate, who died in October 2024—a loss he described as the passing of a “positive, funny, and kind soul.”

He concluded his message by thanking his fans for their support, saying, “Thank you to everyone who always has my back.” It remains unclear whether he will remain inactive on other social media platforms, as he has not addressed his break elsewhere.

Upcoming for Tomlinson is a live performance on July 26 in Lodz, Poland, as part of the mBank Summer Festival, marking the end of his brief European and Indian festival tour this summer.
