Zayn Malik’s Brother-in-Law Gets Prison Sentence
Brother-in-law of Zayn Malik Sentenced to Four Years for Drug Trafficking
Martin Tiser, aged 23, has been sentenced to four years in prison after being found guilty of involvement in drug dealing activities. Police raided his residence in Bradford and discovered £17,000 worth of crack cocaine stored in a garden shed protected by a large dog.
Tiser married Safaa, the younger sister of singer Zayn Malik, in September 2019, when she was 17 and he was 18. Zayn Malik was absent from the wedding due to being in the United States. Malik purchased a home valued at £245,000 for his sister, her husband, and their child, Zaneyah, born shortly after the wedding. This residence was not the one searched by authorities.
The arrest was part of a police operation known as Operation Keyside, targeting the “Kev line” involved in supplying Class A drugs. Evidence collected from February 2025 indicated phone calls and text messages promoting drug deals, with the line active near Tiser’s home. One message stated: “Kev on power…pure dynamite from 8-8. Best deals.”
Authorities also recovered Tiser’s phone, which contained the “Kev line” contact details, along with CCTV footage showing him purchasing mobile top-up vouchers, believed to be for the drug line. During the court proceedings, it was noted Tiser struggled with language barriers and was described as vulnerable due to social and emotional isolation.
The judge emphasized that although Tiser’s previous conviction was for cannabis possession, his involvement in this case indicated he was actively taking drugs and involved in illegal activities. Tiser will be eligible for parole after serving half of his sentence.
