FKA Twigs has decided to drop her ongoing abuse lawsuit against actor Shia LaBeouf. She filed a motion to dismiss the case with prejudice on July 18, just two months before the scheduled trial in September.

Both parties expressed a desire to move forward constructively, with Twigs and LaBeouf issuing a joint statement affirming their agreement to settle out of court. They expressed mutual wishes for happiness, success, and peace in the future, though the specifics of the settlement remain private.

FKA Twigs, who filed the lawsuit, has chosen to settle privately with LaBeouf.

Twigs initially filed the lawsuit in December 2020, accusing LaBeouf of sexual battery, assault, and infliction of emotional distress during their relationship. She alleged that after Valentine’s Day 2019, LaBeouf threatened to crash their car if she didn’t declare her love for him, and later assaulted her at a gas station after she begged to be let out of a car they were driving.

She also claimed that LaBeouf knowingly transmitted a sexually transmitted disease to her during their relationship and described a frightening incident where he woke her up in rage, choked her, and behaved violently while driving in the desert.

Twigs described multiple incidents during their relationship, including violent and reckless behavior by LaBeouf.

In response, LaBeouf admitted to past struggles with alcoholism and aggression, expressing regret for his actions and acknowledging a history of hurting those close to him. He stated, “I am ashamed of that history and am sorry to those I hurt.”

Twigs and LaBeouf began dating after she joined the cast of “Honey Boy” in 2018, following his separation from actress Mia Goth. Their relationship reportedly lasted from 2018 to 2019.
