Ozzy Osbourne Died Surrounded by Love and Family

Legendary Rocker Ozzy Osbourne Passes Away at 76

Ozzy Osbourne, the iconic frontman of Black Sabbath, died peacefully on Tuesday morning. His family confirmed that he was surrounded by loved ones at the time of his passing.

In a heartfelt statement, his family expressed their sadness, stating, “It is with more sadness than words can convey that we report our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning.” They requested privacy during this difficult period.

Ozzy, aged 76, had recently performed his final concert with Black Sabbath earlier this month. Fans had raised concerns earlier in July after AI videos falsely claimed he was gravely ill, but his daughter Kelly quickly dispelled such rumors.

Ozzy had battled health issues for years. In 2020, he revealed he had been secretly diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease over 15 years prior. The progressive neurological disorder is incurable and tends to worsen over time. His health further declined following a serious neck injury sustained in a 2003 quad biking accident. By May 2022, Ozzy admitted he could no longer walk properly and announced plans for a major neck surgery, which improved his mobility. Despite the procedures, his health concerns persisted, leading to his decision to halt touring in 2023.

The musician also revealed that he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2020. His health challenges included ongoing pain and mobility issues, which he publicly addressed after his surgery, and he made brief stage appearances thereafter.

Ozzy was married to Sharon Osbourne in 1982, with whom he shared a long-standing partnership. He was also previously married to Thelma Riley, with whom he fathered three children. His family requested respect and privacy following his death.
