Kim Kardashian Clarifies Incident Involving North West

Kim Kardashian is addressing rumors about an incident with her daughter, North West, that went viral decades ago.

Back in October 2014, a video showed Kardashian leaving a Paris hotel with her then-1-year-old daughter. Instead of immediately boarding the waiting car, she paused and turned back to re-enter the hotel. Later, she exited again carrying North in her arms before heading to the vehicle.

On July 11, Kardashian took to Instagram Stories to dispel speculation that she had forgotten North inside the hotel. She explained, “I wanted to show off the look before holding her,” referencing her pink hoodie, matching leggings, and gray coat, noting, “her outfit didn’t match mine!”

She reassured fans, “I didn’t forget her!!!!”

In the past, Kardashian offered a different explanation for the 2014 incident. She revealed on Twitter that she went back to the car to verify the car seat was installed properly because of a prior issue. She added that North was always supervised and never left alone inside the hotel lobby, even during her solo departure.

The new explanation has sparked reactions online, with many fans expressing skepticism. One Reddit user remarked, “Kim always going to be Kim,” while another questioned, “It’s even worse wtf?!?” A third commented, “It’s the fact she thinks this explanation is any better than her forgetting her in the room.”

Kim shares North, now 12, along with Saint, 9, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 6, with ex-husband Kanye West, her partner from 2014 to 2022.
