Dad of Kaylee Goncalves Blames Bryan Kohberger’s ‘Weird Fetishes’ for the Murder
Family of Idaho Murder Victim Suggests Sexual Motive in Case
The father of Kaylee Goncalves, one of the students murdered in Idaho, has expressed the belief that the suspect, Bryan Kohberger, was driven by “weird porn fetishes.” He revealed that Kaylee’s body showed signs of gagging, which he claims was consistent with a sexual component.
Steve Goncalves shared with a news outlet that individuals close to the investigation provided him with details of pornography discovered on Kohberger’s phone, suggesting a sexual motive that some prosecutors have downplayed. Goncalves stated that witnesses called him out of frustration, claiming the material indicated sexual violence involving drunken and gagged victims.
He further disclosed that the coroner indicated his daughter was gagged during the attack, evidencing physical signs such as damage around her mouth, which he interprets as an effort by the killer to silence her.
Contradicting official statements that deny any sexual assault involvement, Goncalves said he does not believe the authorities’ claims. He suspects Kohberger was interrupted before he could sexually assault the victims.
The four students—Kaylee Goncalves, Xana Kernodle, Madison Mogen, and Ethan Chapin—were killed in their off-campus residence in November 2022.
Recent Developments in the Case
Kohberger, a criminology Ph.D. student, pleaded guilty to the murders and is set to receive multiple life sentences. He initially maintained innocence but accepted a plea deal to avoid a trial and possible death penalty.
The Goncalves family remains determined to uncover all facts, with Kohberger’s sentencing scheduled for Wednesday.
