Malcolm-Jamal Warner Dies in Costa Rica Drowning

Actor Malcolm-Jamal Warner, known for his role on “The Cosby Show,” tragically drowned during a vacation in Costa Rica. He was 54 years old.

Warner was swept away by a strong current while at Cocles Beach in Limon. Witnesses pulled him from the water, and emergency services attempted to revive him, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Bill Cosby, Warner’s former on-screen father, is reeling from the news. His spokesperson revealed that hearing about Warner’s death triggered memories of Cosby’s own son, Ennis William Cosby, who was murdered in 1997 during a robbery. Cosby’s emotional response was deeply affected by the loss of Warner, who played his son Theo Huxtable.
