Largest Cruise Ship in the World to Arrive in Florida Before Maiden Voyage

The newest and biggest cruise ship globally, part of Royal Caribbean’s fleet, is scheduled to arrive in Florida ahead of its inaugural voyage set for late August. Named Star of the Seas, this vessel features 20 decks and can accommodate up to 5,000 passengers.

The ship left a Finnish port on Thursday and is expected to dock at Port Canaveral, Florida, on August 15.

As preparations ramp up at Port Canaveral, staff are getting ready for the influx of tourists. The ship’s maiden voyage begins on August 31, promising a luxurious experience at sea with a variety of included amenities.

Following its departure from Florida, the vessel will explore key Caribbean destinations including San Juan, St. Kitts, Cozumel, and an exclusive private island in the Bahamas.

Tickets for the voyage start at around $951 per person, offering access to numerous complimentary activities including the largest waterpark at sea, and shows like “Back to the Future: The Musical,” performed regularly onboard.
