World’s Largest Cruise Ship to Dock in Florida Ahead of Maiden Voyage
The upcoming flagship of Royal Caribbean’s fleet, the world’s largest cruise ship, is scheduled to arrive in Florida before kicking off its inaugural journey at the end of August.
The Star of the Seas, with 20 decks and a capacity for 5,000 passengers, left its construction port in Finland on Thursday and is expected to arrive at Port Canaveral on August 15.
The ship is set to launch its first cruise on August 31. Meanwhile, staff at Port Canaveral are preparing for the influx of tourists expected to visit the massive vessel.
After departing from Orlando, the cruise will traverse the eastern and western Caribbean, with stops including San Juan, St. Kitts, Cozumel, and a private island in the Bahamas owned by Royal Caribbean.
Travelers looking to experience this luxury vessel should note that ticket prices start at around $951 per person. The cruise offers numerous free activities, including access to the largest waterpark at sea and Broadway-style performances of “Back to the Future: The Musical.”
Royal Caribbean has consistently ranked as the top cruise line by Travel Weekly readers for over two decades, illustrating its reputation for excellence in the industry.
