Details Surrounding the Tragic Incident
Anthony Zecca, the 13-year-old step-grandson of Dog the Bounty Hunter, was fatally shot in the neck at a residence in Naples, Florida. According to police reports, the bullet penetrated just above his sternum, with no exit wound observed.
Emergency responders reported that Anthony had lost a significant amount of blood by the time they arrived. Life-saving measures, including CPR and chest compressions, were administered on-site. Despite these efforts, he was pronounced dead later that evening.
The police responded to a shooting call at approximately 8:08 PM, and by 10:21 PM, Anthony was declared deceased. The firearm involved was found on the kitchen island at the scene. Authorities have yet to make any arrests as the investigation continues.
It was revealed that Anthony’s father, Gregory Zecca, was involved in a tragic accident that led to the shooting. Gregory, the son of Dog’s wife, Francie, from a previous marriage, reportedly shot Anthony accidentally.
The family issued a statement expressing their grief, saying, “We are grieving as a family over this incomprehensible tragic accident and would ask for continued prayers as we mourn the loss of our beloved grandson, Anthony.”
