AOC’s Bronx HQ Vandalized with Red Paint After Israel Vote
Office of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Vandalized Over Israel Aid Vote
Supporters of Palestinian rights vandalized Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s Bronx office after she voted against a measure that would have reduced military assistance to Israel. The office, located in Westchester Square, was splattered with red paint and displayed a sign accusing her of funding violence in Gaza. A photograph of her face in the window was completely obscured by the paint.
The group responsible, identified as the Boogie Down Liberation Front, left a message stating, “F–K AOC,” and issued a statement criticizing her stance on U.S. aid to Israel and support for Palestine. They expressed frustration with what they see as elected officials using their district for political gain and condemned her voting record related to Middle East conflicts.
In a statement issued via social media, Ocasio-Cortez responded critically to the amendment supported by her progressive colleagues, which sought to cut $500 million from Israel’s missile defense systems. She explained her opposition by arguing that the measure would weaken the Iron Dome defense while allowing ongoing violence to persist, and she emphasized her focus on halting U.S. munitions used in Gaza.
