Elon Musk Calls Epstein Case Trump’s ‘Achilles’ Heel’

Elon Musk Criticizes Trump’s Defense of Attorney General Bondi in Epstein Case

Tech billionaire Elon Musk publicly challenged President Donald Trump on July 12 after Trump defended Attorney General Pam Bondi regarding her handling of allegations involving Jeffrey Epstein.

Musk responded to a screenshot of Trump’s statement on social media platform X, commenting on a user’s remark that Trump’s post was “the worst status of all time.” He pointed out that Trump had referenced Epstein multiple times and urged him to release the records as promised.

Later, Musk expressed concern about the broader implications of Epstein’s case, questioning the justice system. He asked, “If thousands of children are being abused, and the government has videos of the perpetrators but no one is being prosecuted, what kind of system are we living in?”

Trump had previously defended Bondi on Truth Social after the Justice Department released a memo stating Epstein did not possess a “client list” for blackmail and that there was no evidence of murder in his 2019 death, which was ruled a suicide. Bondi had implied she might have had access to such a list, prompting criticism from some within the MAGA movement.

In a lengthy post, Trump praised Bondi, calling her “fantastic,” and claimed his administration was “perfect.” He accused opponents of using Epstein-related issues to create divisions within the MAGA movement and questioned why certain documents related to Epstein, Obama, Hillary Clinton, and others had not been made public, contrasting them with the delayed release of JFK and Martin Luther King files.

He also suggested that efforts to release damaging documents might be politically motivated, comparing the situation to the controversy over the Steele dossier concerning Russian interference in the 2016 election.
