New York City Food Scene Expands with 14 New Michelin Restaurants
Forty new restaurants in New York City have been added to the Michelin Guide, with the majority located outside Manhattan. Brooklyn leads with eight new entries, while Manhattan has six.
Brooklyn’s Culinary Highlights
Brooklyn’s newest Michelin establishments include Yemenat, a Middle Eastern spot in Bay Ridge; 6 Restaurant, offering European cuisine in Carroll Gardens; Mango Bay, a Caribbean eatery in Fort Greene; Café Kestrel, a contemporary restaurant in Red Hook; Taqueria El Chato in Greenpoint; and Enso, a sushi restaurant in Williamsburg. Additionally, the borough welcomed two Thai restaurants: Glin Thai Bistro in Fort Greene and Hungry Thirsty in Carroll Gardens.
Manhattan Adds Diverse Flavors
In Manhattan, newcomers include Adda, an Indian restaurant in the East Village, and Kabawa, a Caribbean eatery nearby. Other new Manhattan entries are Joomak, a contemporary dining spot in the West Village, Laliko, a Central Asian restaurant also in the West Village, and Maison Passerelle in FiDi. Notably, the only Manhattan restaurant above 14th Street to make the list is Papa San, a Japanese-Peruvian fusion restaurant on West 34th Street.
Overall Michelin Listings in NYC
Manhattan dominates the Michelin Guide with 263 restaurants featured. Brooklyn follows with 82 entries, Queens has 18, the Bronx includes six, and Staten Island has four.
