Florida ‘Predator’ Esther Torres Gets Probation for Pepper-Spraying and Stealing Luxury Watches
Florida Woman Sentenced to Probation for Hotel Robbery Spree
A young woman from Florida has received a lenient sentence after admitting to multiple thefts targeting wealthy men in Miami hotels. Esther Torres, 20, pleaded guilty to luring men, pepper-spraying them, and stealing their luxury watches, including a $22,000 Rolex Submariner.
The incidents occurred in late March at prominent hotels. At the Breakwater Hotel in Miami Beach, Torres approached her victim, sprayed him with pepper spray, and stole his Hugo Boss watch along with over $200 in cash, Euros, and multiple credit cards. Surveillance footage showed her leaving the scene shortly after the attack.
The second attack took place at the Fontainebleau Hotel, where Torres again pepper-sprayed a man and made off with his Rolex worth $22,000. The victim reported that the mace left him temporarily blinded. Authorities confirmed Torres’s involvement through security footage capturing her leaving both hotels after the robberies.
Law enforcement traced her activity in April when Torres was present at another traffic stop involving a detained driver, whom she identified herself to using her driver’s license. Her arrest came during a traffic stop in May, where police, recognizing her on a flyer, confirmed her identity.
During her arrest, body camera footage showed Torres dressed in a white strapless top and a hair bonnet, denying possessing any weapons. She had a child in her vehicle at the time, who was safely picked up before she was taken into custody.
Initially charged with two counts of first-degree robbery and detained without bond, Torres was eventually released on a recognizance bond in June following her probation sentence, which replaced her jail time.
