Knueppel Shines in Hornets’ Summer League Victory

Kon Knueppel, selected fourth overall in the 2025 NBA Draft, made an impressive debut with the Charlotte Hornets by helping them secure their first Summer League championship. In the thrilling final, the Hornets edged out the Sacramento Kings with a final score of 83-78.

Knueppel was a standout, leading all scorers with 21 points. His most crucial contribution was a three-pointer in the closing minute that extended the Hornets’ lead. This shot proved vital as the Kings responded with a quick three by Isaac Jones, cutting the deficit to four points with just seconds remaining.

Following the pivotal shot, Sacramento was forced to foul, hoping to regain possession, but the Hornets maintained their composure and sealed the victory before the Kings could mount a comeback.
