Paul Pogba’s Honest Take on Rashford’s Barcelona Move as Man United Outcast Nears Loan to Spain

Paul Pogba Shares Honest Opinion on Marcus Rashford’s Barcelona Loan Move

Paul Pogba, the former Manchester United midfielder, has voiced his thoughts on Marcus Rashford’s upcoming loan transfer to Barcelona. The deal, which is set to last for a season, includes an option for the Spanish club to make the move permanent next summer.

Rashford, who has fallen out of favor at United following a stint on the sidelines under manager Ruben Amorim, will move to Barcelona after being exiled from the team early last season. During his time at Villa on loan, he impressively scored four goals and contributed six assists in 17 appearances.

Pogba, now with AS Monaco, reacted to Rashford’s departure in a recent interview, expressing support and some bittersweet feelings. He remarked, “That’s crazy, but I’m happy for him because Manchester United is losing a great player. It’s good for Barcelona.” He also commented on United’s new management, implying that the club is going through a transitional phase.

Pogba highlighted that Rashford’s playing time diminished after changes in United’s coaching staff, leading to his loan move. Rashford has been training separately from the main squad this pre-season, alongside other players such as Jadon Sancho and Alejandro Garnacho. His No.10 jersey has also been handed over to new signing Matheus Cunha, signaling the end of his era at Old Trafford.

Throughout his career at Manchester United, Rashford made 426 appearances, netting 138 goals and providing 77 assists. He has won several trophies, including two FA Cups, two EFL Cups, and a Europa League title. His current contract with United runs until 2028, but his future now seems to lie in Spain with Barcelona covering his substantial weekly wages.
