Indiana Mom Jailed for Attempting to Sell Baby Daughter for Sex
Indiana Mom Accused of Child Sex Trafficking and Endangerment
A 32-year-old mother of seven has been charged with serious crimes involving her young daughter in Indiana. Authorities allege she attempted to sell her 7-month-old baby for $400 and used social media to facilitate abuse.
According to reports, the woman, Morgan Stapp, communicated with an individual via Snapchat, discussing the sexual assault of her infant. On November 1, 2024, she reportedly texted that the man could assault her daughter in exchange for money. The messages included details about payment arrangements and her living situation, as she indicated her child’s father was not present.
The conversation was flagged by Snapchat and referred to law enforcement, leading to an FBI investigation. Officers arranged to meet Stapp at her residence in Indianapolis, where she was detained. During her arrest, she denied ever using Snapchat, despite evidence to the contrary.
Investigators found only one phone associated with her account and uncovered thousands of messages exchanged between October 29 and November 1. Among these, she offered to sell nude photos of herself to obtain money for her baby’s diapers.
Stapp was formally charged in July with attempting to engage in child sex trafficking and is currently held on a $100,000 bond. She is scheduled to appear in court again on September 15 for further proceedings.
