Trump Sues Wall Street Journal Over Epstein Birthday Album Story

Donald Trump Files $10 Billion Lawsuit Over WSJ Article Linking Him to Epstein Birthday Album

Donald Trump has initiated legal action against the Wall Street Journal’s parent company, Rupert Murdoch, and several others, claiming that a recent article falsely accused him of contributing to a birthday album for Jeffrey Epstein in 2003. Trump is seeking $10 billion in damages and has described the lawsuit as a “POWERHOUSE Lawsuit,” asserting that the report is “false, malicious, defamatory, and FAKE NEWS.”

The article centered on a birthday album compiled by Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s ex-girlfriend and now sex trafficking inmate. It included a “bawdy” letter allegedly bearing Trump’s signature, which the Journal described as a typewritten message surrounded by a crude drawing of a woman, with the signature “Donald” beneath her waist. The letter purportedly features a fictional conversation between Epstein and Trump, ending with “Happy Birthday — and may every day be another wonderful secret.”

Trump has vehemently denied the existence of such a letter, calling it “a fake thing” and stating, “I never wrote a picture in my life. I don’t draw pictures of women. It’s not my language. It’s not my words.” His legal complaint criticizes the Journal for not attaching the alleged letter or drawing, and for failing to provide proof that Trump authored or signed the document.

In addition to filing the lawsuit through Florida law firm Brito PLC, Trump criticized the media for sharing and amplifying the story, which he claims had “gone viral” online, including on Twitter with screenshots from various organizations and personalities. Trump also referenced past legal confrontations, such as a $16 million settlement with CBS and a $15 million settlement with ABC News over other disputes involving his image and comments.

Trump accused Murdoch and the Journal of engaging in misleading reporting, emphasizing his intention to hold the media accountable and defend his reputation. Through his social media platform, he vowed to continue fighting against what he describes as “fake news” and vowed to impact depositions and testimony process ahead.
