Boy Kidnapped at Gunpoint as Dad Hides

7-Year-Old Kid Kidnapped at Gunpoint and Found Safe After 24 Hours

A shocking incident was caught on video showing a young boy, just 7 years old, being abducted at gunpoint outside his home. The footage illustrates the boy, Jamal White, riding his bike near his residence when a white Jeep appears, blocking his family’s driveway. Two individuals exit the vehicle and quickly seize Jamal, as his father rushes inside the house before returning outside, visibly frustrated and slamming the car trunk.

Jamal was taken around 7 p.m. on a Friday, but authorities did not issue an Amber Alert until nearly five hours later. Fortunately, after nearly a full day, he was located safe at a house about seven miles from where he was abducted. During the search, his uncle reportedly fired shots at two pursuing individuals, hitting a tree and an abandoned building.

The father later expressed relief on social media, writing, “God had us the whole time; obviously, I did right by my baby safe!” Despite the successful rescue, he faced criticism for his actions during the kidnapping, with some questioning why he didn’t intervene when his son was taken. Comments on the incident ranged from criticism of his decision to run inside to sarcastic remarks about his efforts to pursue the kidnappers.

Authorities confirmed the arrest of three individuals involved in the case. Jamal’s 27-year-old uncle, Jamel K. White, was charged with firing a gun at a vehicle during the search, claiming he was scared for his family. He faces charges of reckless endangerment with a firearm. Two other men, aged 25 and 27, were also detained during the investigation, though their roles and motives remain unclear.

The case continues as the community discusses the event, highlighting both the danger children face and the complexities of responses during emergencies.
