Arsenal Accidentally Confirm New Signing in Premature Photo Leak

Arsenal Accidentally Confirms New Signing After Blunder Reveals Photo

Arsenal appears to have unintentionally announced the signing of Valencia defender Cristhian Mosquera. Although the club has not made an official statement, fans spotted a photo on Arsenal’s website showing Mosquera in training gear, which seems to have been uploaded prematurely.

The image depicts Mosquera during what looks like a welcome interview at London Colney. This leak follows reports that the 21-year-old Spaniard had completed a medical earlier this week in anticipation of a £13 million transfer, including bonus payments.

Mosquera, who can operate as both a central and right-back, is expected to help fill the gap left by Takehiro Tomiyasu, who recently mutually agreed to terminate his contract. The Spain Under-21 international has made 90 appearances for Valencia, serving as a regular last season, playing in 37 out of 38 La Liga games.

Meanwhile, Arsenal is finalizing negotiations with Sporting Lisbon to acquire Victor Gyokeres. The Gunners have already strengthened their squad with signings like Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad, Christian Norgaard from Brentford, and Kepa Arrizabalaga from Chelsea, as they aim to improve following their second-place finish in the Premier League. Additionally, Arsenal confirmed the signing of winger Noni Madueke from Chelsea for an initial fee of £48 million, rising to £52 million, and he is set to join his teammates in early August.

The club remains keen on adding an attacking option and is considering Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace.
