In a heartfelt message posted on Instagram, he said: “To every staff member that helped me along this journey, thank you. To my teammates, I leave with love and admiration. We achieved much this season, and I wish you all the best.”

Madueke joined Chelsea from PSV in January 2023, making 92 appearances and scoring 20 goals. He contributed to their success in winning the Conference League last season and featured in their Club World Cup victory.

The 23-year-old is expected to complete his move to Arsenal as their fourth summer signing, following Kepa Arrizabalaga, Martin Zubimendi, and Christian Norgaard. Arsenal are also pursuing Sporting striker Viktor Gyokeres.
