Trump Blasts ‘Weaklings’ and ‘Past Supporters’ Over ‘Epstein Hoax’

Trump Criticizes Supporters Over Epstein Controversy

Former President Donald Trump has sharply criticized both his past supporters and others within his base, dismissing their belief in the so-called “Jeffrey Epstein Hoax.” He expressed frustration that some are embracing this narrative, which he deems as a distraction orchestrated by Democrats.

He shared on social media that unlike Democrats, who he says are unified, some Republicans have fallen into what he calls the “Jeffrey Epstein Hoax,” propagating falsehoods that he claims he no longer supports. Trump urged supporters to focus on the country’s achievements and declared his disinterest in further support from those he considers weak-minded.

During an Oval Office meeting, Trump reiterated that the Epstein story is a “big hoax” and lamented that many have been duped by Democrats. He criticized the political tactics of the opposing party, accusing them of being adept at spreading false narratives while failing in policy and candidate selection. Despite public speculation, recent investigations concluded Epstein took his own life in jail, with no evidence of a client list linked to powerful individuals, fueling ongoing conspiracy theories among his supporters.

A recent poll indicated that 63% of American voters disapprove of how Trump’s team has handled the Epstein matter, reflecting widespread skepticism. Trump himself had been acquainted with Epstein in the 1990s and early 2000s but alleged a falling-out around a Florida property dispute in 2004.

Some supporters, including prominent MAGA figures, suspect that the government isn’t being transparent about Epstein, pointing to protests demanding the release of alleged Epstein client files. Most of this criticism has focused on US Attorney General Pam Bondi, whom Trump has defended against accusations.

Trump criticized the Democrats’ focus on this issue, likening it to past scandals such as the Steele dossier and the alleged Hunter Biden laptop. He emphasized his administration’s successes, especially regarding the economy and foreign policy, and dismissed the Epstein controversy as part of Democratic “scams and hoaxes.”

While federal investigators state Epstein lacked a comprehensive client list, his former lawyer claims there is an FBI affidavit linking Epstein to high-profile individuals, though it remains unreleased. The controversy persists as political figures and supporters debate the full extent of Epstein’s connections and the government’s transparency.
