‘American Idol’ Exec and Husband Found Dead Inside LA Mansion After 4 Days

Man Accused of Killing ‘American Idol’ Executive and Husband in Los Angeles

A suspect linked to the murder of an “American Idol” executive and her husband was reportedly still inside their home when police responded, but their bodies were only discovered days later.

Robin Kaye, an executive associated with “American Idol,” and her husband, Thomas DeLuca, both 70, were found dead inside their secured Encino residence on Monday, four days after a home invasion. Authorities say the couple was killed during a random break-in.

Police initially responded to reports of a potential burglary on July 10 but did not enter the house, citing the absence of visible signs of forced entry. It wasn’t until their return for a welfare check on Monday that the victims’ bodies were found. Sources indicate the suspect, Raymond Boodarian, may have been inside the residence during the initial police visit.

Investigators believe Boodarian, 22, was in the house when officers were called for a welfare check, and he may have remained there until police returned, only revealing his presence later. The suspect, who has a criminal history and is known to struggle with substance abuse, has been charged with two counts of murder.

Details of the Crime and Residence

The murders occurred during a supposed burglary at the couple’s opulent Encino property, which was valued at about $4.5 million in 2023. Authorities think Boodarian broke in while the couple was away and then shot them when they unexpectedly returned.
