Denise Richards Obtains Restraining Order Against Estranged Husband

Actress Denise Richards has secured a restraining order against her estranged husband, Aaron Phypers, following allegations of abusive behavior. Richards accused Phypers of repeatedly physically assaulting her during their relationship, including choking, slapping, and slamming her head into objects. She provided photographs of a bruised eye as evidence of her injuries.

Richards claimed that Phypers threatened to kill her and was ordered to remain at least 100 yards away from her, her vehicle, and her home. Phypers denied the allegations, stating, “Not true. Conjured up. I have the real evidence.”

The actress’s court filings included detailed accounts of multiple violent episodes and images of her injuries. Her testimony also revealed she suffered a black eye during an alleged attack. The court granted her the protective order Wednesday, citing concerns for her safety.

This legal action comes after Richards, who left “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” in 2020, accused Phypers of threatening her during a resurfaced television clip. Social media reactions to the scene expressed shock and concern, with some viewers noting red flags in the interaction.

The couple, who married in 2018, has a 14-year-old daughter, Eloise. Richards also shares daughters Sami, 24, and Lola, 20, with former husband Charlie Sheen. Their next court hearing is scheduled for August 8.
