Trump’s Rift with Elon Musk: White House Chief Reveals Tensions That Could Explode
Conflict Between Donald Trump and Elon Musk Revealed
The White House Chief of Staff described the relationship between Donald Trump and Elon Musk as “very troublesome,” characterizing the fallout as a significant issue for the administration.
On the “Pod Force One” podcast, Susie Wiles noted Musk’s “fatherly fixation” on Trump, which she believed was bound to lead to complications. She expressed that Musk’s departure from the White House was “not a good ending,” highlighting Musk’s valuable insights and connections that benefited early initiatives.
Wiles admitted she didn’t understand why their close bond deteriorated but appreciated Musk’s unique perspective as “the world’s smartest man.” She praised his role in advising on business, organizational, and government matters during the transition period.
Discord and Disputes
The feud intensified when Musk accused Trump of involvement in the Epstein files and criticized him publicly after leaving his government role. Musk later called for a new political party, the America Party, which reignited tensions. Trump responded sharply on Truth Social, branding Musk as a “train wreck” over recent weeks.
Call for a New Party
Trump dismissed Musk’s push for a third political party, claiming it would only create chaos and disrupt the current system. He praised the Republican Party’s accomplishments, including passing a major bill considered the biggest in U.S. history, which he sees as beneficial and aligned with his policies.
He also critiqued Musk’s suggestions regarding NASA leadership, stating that Musk wanted a close friend to head the space agency, which Trump found inappropriate due to the friend’s ongoing space ventures.
