Man United in Talks for Brighton Star Amid Competition from AC Milan
Manchester United in Talks to Sign Brighton’s Pervis Estupinan Amid Competition from AC Milan
Manchester United are reportedly exploring the possibility of signing Brighton’s talented left-back, Pervis Estupinan. The Ecuadorian defender has been a consistent presence for Brighton since arriving from Villarreal in 2022 for £14.9 million, playing 30 Premier League matches last season and contributing with one goal and one assist.
Although Estupinan has two years remaining on his current contract, Brighton officials are open to receiving offers this summer. The club has already bolstered its options at left-back by signing Maxim De Cuyper from Club Brugge. Manchester United has initiated discussions with Estupinan’s representatives, though they face stiff competition from Italian giants AC Milan.
Estupinan’s performances have caught the attention of several top clubs, and Manchester United’s interest is part of their broader effort to strengthen their squad. The club has recently recruited Matheus Cunha from Wolves for £62.5 million and teenage prodigy Diego Leon from Cerro Porteño for £7 million. As negotiations continue, Manchester United is also in talks with Brentford over a move for winger Bryan Mbeumo.
The Red Devils kick off their pre-season campaign with a match against Leeds in Stockholm on July 19 before traveling to the United States for further fixtures.
