Barack & Michelle Obama Playfully Address Divorce Rumors on Podcast
Michelle and Barack Obama Address Divorce Rumors in New Podcast
Michelle Obama and her husband Barack recently discussed speculations about their marriage during a podcast appearance, asserting that their relationship remains strong despite ongoing rumors.
Michelle teased a “very, very, very special guest” on her podcast, which prompted Barack to join, leading her brother Craig Robinson to jokingly ask, “Wait, you guys like each other?” The couple’s playful exchange emphasized their enduring connection.
Barack humorously admitted, “She took me back,” adding, “It was touch and go for a while.” Michelle clarified that there has never been a moment she considered quitting their marriage. She reflected on their journey, saying, “We’ve faced tough times but also had many joyful moments and adventures that have made me a better person.”
Michelle also praised Barack’s role as an engaged father to their daughters, Malia (27) and Sasha (24). Despite the public’s curiosity, she dismissed the gossip, stating, “Somebody will mention it to me, and I think, ‘What are you talking about?’” She emphasized that, at 60, it’s reasonable for people not to know every detail of their lives.
Overcoming Public Scrutiny
Earlier this year, Michelle responded fiercely to online chatter suggesting their love story might be ending, telling a podcast, “We’re 60, y’all. You just are not gonna know what we’re doing every minute of the day.”
Although rumors surfaced when Barack was spotted attending events without Michelle, both continued to show unity through social media posts celebrating birthdays and holidays, reaffirming their bond.
Robinson recounted a moment where a stranger asked about their marriage, and Barack shared, “These are the kinds of things I just miss. I don’t even know this stuff is going on.” The couple has been married since October 1992 and remains committed despite public speculation.
