DC Alo Store Hit by Masked Thieves Stealing $20K in Clothing
Masked Thieves Steal $20,000 from Georgetown Store
Late last month, a group of six masked individuals targeted a luxury athletic apparel shop in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, D.C., making off with approximately $20,000 worth of merchandise.
The suspects entered the store around 7:30 p.m. on June 30, walking past a security guard before quickly grabbing clothing from racks and displays. Surveillance footage shows them removing items swiftly before fleeing.
They exited the store carrying armfuls of stolen goods and sped away in a silver or gray Ford Edge with covered license plates. Police believe the vehicle headed west along Wisconsin Avenue NW.
Authorities released images from security footage showing the suspects during the theft. Witnesses reported that at the time of the incident, no police officers were present near the store.
Store representatives have yet to comment, but police report that the theft was significant, with estimated losses of about $20,000. The investigation continues as authorities seek those responsible for the brazen heist.
