Scheana Shay Calls Out ‘Gaslighter’ Lisa Vanderpump
Scheana Shay Criticizes Lisa Vanderpump for Exploiting Her Personal Pain
Scheana Shay has publicly accused Lisa Vanderpump of using her personal struggles to advance her television career. Reflecting on her past relationship with Eddie Cibrian, Shay suggested Vanderpump capitalized on her pain for ratings.
Shay’s affair with Cibrian in 2006 became a focal point when Vanderpump introduced the singer on a 2013 episode of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” where she brought up Cibrian’s ex-wife, Brandi Glanville. Shay contended that Vanderpump knew about her affair but still used it for TV.
In her forthcoming memoir, “My Good Side,” Shay claims Vanderpump was aware of her affair but pretended otherwise on the show. She criticized Vanderpump for her silent treatment and manipulation, saying Vanderpump “gaslit” her for a decade instead of addressing the issue directly.
Shay, who starred on “Vanderpump Rules” for 11 seasons before the series was rebooted last year, says her relationship with Vanderpump deteriorated after she stopped following her directives. Shay recounted a specific incident from Season 6 when Vanderpump asked her to defend James Kennedy during a staff meeting—the moment she noticed her relationship with Vanderpump had soured.
In her memoir, Shay also revealed that her husband, Brock Davies, had cheated on her while she was pregnant with their daughter, Summer Moon. She reflected that her husband’s betrayal “felt like her karma” for her past mistakes, saying, “Did I deserve it? No, but I told myself I did.”
“My Good Side” is set to be released on July 22.
