Caitlyn Jenner Supports Sophia Hutchins’ Grieving Family

Sophia Hutchins’ Death and Caitlyn Jenner’s Support

Legendary Olympian Caitlyn Jenner has extended her support to the grieving family of Sophia Hutchins, who tragically passed away at age 29. Jenner has opened her home to Hutchins’ mother, Amy, helping her during this difficult time as they deal with the aftermath of the loss.

Hutchins was laid to rest at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Culver City, California. She was traveling near Jenner’s residence in Malibu when the accident occurred on July 3. According to authorities, Hutchins was driving an ATV that collided with the rear of a moving car, causing her vehicle to plunge down a 350-foot ravine. Emergency responders confirmed she died at the scene, with no other injuries reported.

Footage of the crash showing Hutchins’ mangled ATV in the ravine has circulated, intensifying the tragedy. Police indicated she might have been speeding and attempting to maneuver around a vehicle before losing control. Sergeant Eduardo Saucedo explained that Hutchins appeared to rear-end another car, which contributed to her losing control and falling off the cliff.

Jenner, who was Hutchins’ close friend and former manager, spoke publicly for the first time following the incident. She said she was going through “tough times” and chose not to discuss details initially. In subsequent remarks, police revealed more about Hutchins’ final moments, noting she might have been speeding and tried to overtake the other vehicle before the crash.

Hutchins, also a transgender woman, had a longstanding close relationship with Jenner. They met in 2015 through mutual friends and shared a caring partnership, often being seen together publicly. Hutchins had appeared on Jenner’s reality show and lived with her for several years, managing her business affairs. Despite media reports of outings, both insisted their bond was purely platonic, describing themselves as life partners and close friends.

Hutchins and Jenner shared many aspects of their lives, including living arrangements, a shared dog, and family ties. Hutchins emphasized their relationship was not romantic but deeply connected as friends and partners in daily life.
